We have had gas smells in the house since we moved in last november, and the gas guy who came to test for gas leaks found nothing.
Since the smell is still present and a builder I spoke to recently said he had done some work on the property before. He said the floor in the utility room (where the smell of gas and the washer and tumble drier are) fell through and he went to fix the floor he said when he was under the floor boards he saw a gas pipe going to the tumble drier and said he saw it was run by the gas and prehaps limited electric??
Is this possible and if other people have these 'gas tumble driers' do you smell gas every so often????
Had one for years- never had a smell, just smaller bills! How old is the dryer? Perhaps a service would help. Well worth the investment, as they are much cheaper to run. I have had White Knight, Cannon, and now an old but large Speed Queen.
