Is it MO-AY or MO-ET? I keep getting into discussions about this, I just want to know once and for all!!

It's MO-ET. Jean Remy Moet was Dutch, not French. Spread the word.

are you asking how you pronouce the champers, in which case it's mo-ay.

Sorry, Angel Pie, often in French pronounciation, the final consonant in a word is silent. In such a case the word 'Moet' would be pronounced 'mo-ay'.
But since the following word ('et') starts with a vowel, the rule says that final consonant is pronounced. 'Moet & Chandon'should sound like 'Mo wett ay shawn dong'

I've done a lot of extensive research into this (why I do not know?!) and finally discovered that yes indeedy, it is in fact MO-ETTE!
