Shocking, but not surprising.
Another example of the Islamofascist culture that is growing around the world, including here in the U.K.
but to criticise it for what it is invites accusations of racism or religious bigotry.
It will get worse.

Reading the post, the murderer thought that by not wearing the veil, she had sinned.

Terrible as it is, I don't think its any different to 'Honour Killings', which does happen over here, by people of other religions.

There was even a case of a chap being killed because he converted out of Islam.

I think the only solution, over her at least, is to make people obey the laws of the country

I have trouble comprehending the kind of mindset where murdering someone for wearing the wrong clothes is entirely justified. Does their god actually encourage this?

Surely this would be wrong in any remotely civilized society.

It would be wrong to criticise all muslims for the outrages of the few, but the Islamists, who wish to spread their influence by violence is a worldwide thing, that we ignore at our peril.

Well, when, "... stuff like this happens ...", I for one take it very seriously indeed, and I give very serious attention to Islam, at all times. It's far too dangerous to ignore. Consider:-
The Islamic atrocities of 9 / 11, the 7 / 7 attacks in London, the Bradford riots, the Paris riots, the Sydney riots, the Rushdie riots, the Madrid train bombing, the Mumbay train bombing, the Beslan massacre, the Bali bombings, the assassination of Robert Kennedy, the anti Christian genocide in East Timor, Southern Philippines, and Northern Nigeria. Add to this the attacks on Israel, and the threats to israel from Iran, and the killings of muslims by muslims in Iraq.
That's quite a list, and it's not exhaustive. So when hate preachers start calling for an overthrow of democracy in the west, particularly the U.K. , well, shouldn't we wake up?

Sorry, I didn't mean 'seriously' as in 'not funny' It was a poor choice of words. This is what I should have said:

How can any sane and rational individual buy into a belief system where one of the core tenets appear to be the ruthless subjugation of half it's followers, where murder is considered a just punishment for wearing the wrong clothes. Do these men not have a conscience? Even I with my evil atheist ways can see how wrong it is.

Incidently, do Muslim women believe it's fair or are they just doing what they're told?

I don't know what Muslim women think - hopefully someone will tell us - but I can't believe it 's possible to even begin to understand the mentality of these people.
