would an escort 2.0 ltr rs2000 engine fit in to a 1.8 escort gti without major work?and would i have to change the wiring loom?

im guessing the engines are from the same model of escort... if so, it shouldnt be a problem changing from a 1.8 to the 2 litre engine.
you may need to change the gear box, i dont know for sure but most garages could give you some idea of the work involved and cost !
