Audi A2 lap belt

I have an Audi A2 (which I love!) but have a problem in that the middle seat belt is only a lap belt. This would be fine, except I have to transport 4 children from school twice a week. The lap belt is way, way too big, even on the tightest setting for a child. I have tied a knot in in but then it's a tad too tight!!!
Anyone have any ideas on what can be done, bought etc?
