I know radio is highly subjective - some of my friends whose opinions I would respect in all other areas think Russell Brand is worth giving airtime to (or even air!) so it is a matter of personal taste.

Of course everyone knows how annoying SW is. It's even referred to in this question from the BBC entrance test for new employees :-)
"Place the following in order of size:
a) Steve Wright's ego ;
b) Jonathon Ross's vanity ;
c) Chris Evans's mouth ;
d) Terry Wogan's holiday entitlement ;
e) Russell Brand's ability to irritate"

I hate his stupid fake mid-Atlantic accent, his feeble toothbrush moustache, his "posse", and the fact that he's always on when I try to find an alternative to Radio 4. He's R2's last bastion of Smashie & Nicey-dom.
Couldn't comment on the content of his show as I always switch it off as soon as I hear him speak.
I remember him presenting an award at The Brits once, and embarrassing a whole room of music biz execs by saying "Home taping is killing music". @ss-kisser.

I used to like Steve Wright when he was on Radio 1 and I was in my teens (shows how long he's been going), but I think I've grown out of him. Some of his guests are good, but much of the banter with his, ahem, "posse" makes him sound a bit, well, thick.
One more thing. Whenever I've flicked on the radio and caught the end of the show, I always hear the words "all material is copyright". Who on Earth would want to nick it? Actually, having heard some of the local commercial station DJs, don't answer that...
