toilet roll

Can anybody say which is the correct way to hang toilet paper? So the paper rolls over the roll or from under?? You will help out in a debate at work. And yes before you start we don't have anything else to worry about lol!

My dad died a year ago and we used to have this on going argument I would always change the roll to over when I went to his house and he would change mine to under. My theory if you have long fingernails you could catch them on the wall if the paper is under Its lively debates like this that makes life interesting

It should roll over. How would they put the end piece of paper into a point in Hotels if it rolled under?

For me, it has to be so that the paper hangs against the wall - were I married this would be divorce fodder if she did it any other way.

But I do stop myself from turning it round at other peoples houses though! LOL

My mother used to torture me when I lived with my parents by hanging it coming from under - I always changed to from over the top and she always changed it back for spite.

No no no, it has to hang over the top! Otherwise it's usually flat against the wall and harder to get hold of!

In lots of middle eastern countries they don't have this problem because they don't use toilet paper. There are footprints and a small tap on the left - you use your left hand only for this operation. Or so they tell me.

Many years ago I was an engineer working for "Trust House Forte"

Their policy, throughout the group, was to hang the paper down the back of the wall.
