ntl netguard

please can someone tell me how to either delete or disable ntl netguard on my pc only i cant work out how to do it,and im stumped as to what to do next.any help appriciated.

If you do plan to take the advice in the link above, it seems that NetGuard lives here: C:\Program Files\ntl\ntl Netguard.
Your problems may be compounded if you have a firewall installed (e.g. ZoneAlarm) - this is something that is mentioned in the FAQ over here:

A friend had a similar problem with NTL netguard. I suspect after NTL became Virgin some of the code became redundant. I suggest uninstall Netguard completely (start->settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove etc) and install PCGuard. This worked on her machine. http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/pcguard/
