half brother!

iv recently got in touch with my half brother ,he got adopted when he were 2, he tried to get in contact with my dad but dad doesnt want to.
Anyway my brother has told me today that he is going to go for counciling as he says his head is messed up coz my dad wont contact him.
i feel really guilty and dont no what to say to him now.
Dad doesnt no that im in contact with him.
any advice please

i just cant help feeling abit guilty as obviously i know my dad,then i feel guilty towards my dad as he doesnt no that im in contact with him x

Does your dad know you know about your half brother at all. Maybe he thinks he is protecting the family so that is maybe why he doesn't want to have anything to with your half brother.
Don't feel guilty just be there for your half brother and enjoy geting to know him. Talking to someone neutral will help him and you never know at a later date your dad may change his mind.

my dad told me i had 2 half brothers about 10 years ago.
my dad has no idea im in touch with him now only been in touch a couple of months.
i no it caused alot of upset for my dad as he tried twice to raise them by his self but times were different then and couldnt cope financially.
my brother lives about a 4 hour drive away so havnt met yet but cant wait till we do
