Confused you will be!!!

Like to know what you think about this.....

Met this guy who I like and we "pulled" each other one night last week. After that he'd been texting quite a bit but didn't ask me out. He is quite shy so I put it down to that so i thought I'd ask him instead via a text message. I gave him an easy way out because I know he is quite shy and probably wouldn't want to hurt my feelings so when i asked him out on the text i said if he wasn't interested just to ignore my text and not reply. Well he didn't ignore it but his reply was odd....he sent a text with 8 kisses in it and that was it...what the heck does than mean to anyone?????? Me not believing he would like me in the first place said is that just kisses to soften the blow because you're not interested and he just replied with more kisses....argh!!!

Sounds very odd I really wouldnt know what to make of that! Tell him to stop messing about and you need an answer.

very strange. Would send him one more text asking if that was a yes and if he sends back more x's then put it down to either that his phone is broken or he's an idiot.

Hmm is a tad strange Zammo. To me it looks like he is kinda stringing you along by not giving you a definate answer but he is trying to keep you interested (not to mention confused) by putting just kisses.
Like whambam says do you really want to be in a relationship with someone so indecisive?
You've asked him what that means and he hasn't given you a straight forward reply, I'd be inclined to text back saying something along the lines of; "OK well it's been nice texting you, maybe see you around xxxxxxxx"
If he texts straight back apoligising etc.. just becareful that he isn't just stringing you along hoping to keep you as someone to have fun with every know and then (unless that's what you want too of course lol) or as someone who is just boosting his ego for him.

ARRGHHH! How annoying!!

Text has got a lot to answer for, I tell thee! People hide behind texts these days instead of calling, which is why we end up in situations exactly like this one!

His non-committal reply could mean a lot of things; he's really pleased but it has made him coy so that was all he could think of writing back, or he wasn't in an environment to text properly so just sent a quick response.

Personally I'd think he was a complete waste of time by now! hahahahaha! Seriously. If you now stop texting him to see how long it takes him to get back to you, I bet you'll find that you don't hear from him for a week or two. Then he'll send another obscure text out of the blue! It's not worth the hassle. If a guy likes you then he should show it, and vice versa. You've accommodated his shyness and that still made no difference, right?

Id send him one more txt and say 'so, il take that as a NO then, no worries xx' and see what his responce is to that. If he just sends more kisses, it seems like he's just playing games, but hopefully he will realise that it is the last time your gonna ask, and he'l give you a proper answer.
