my pup eats poo - why

hello, I have a 6 months old ****** pup who eats his own and my older dogs poo. What can I do to stop this ?

I have wormed him recently and shouting at him doesn't seem to work - please help ?

This can be a sign of a nutritional deficency, so check what you are feeding him and give a vitamin and mineral supplement, although a good quality dry food should contain everything. It may also be a habit, so try and break the cycle i.e clearing up when both dogs poo. Apparently if you feed your dog tinned pineapple, then they stop eating the poo as they don't like it the second time.
Some dogs just like it and it is difficult to break them of the habit.

Thanks for that . I've tried feeding pineapple but the older dog won't eat this as he's a fussy eater. It also worries me as I'm pregnant and am worried about myself or the baby catching anything if he licks us ?

ps I've not swore on the above mail. I think I spelled shih-Tzu incorrectly - ooops ha ha ha......

Maybe I should consult my vet on this one. Thanks anyway.

my Chinese Crested pup used 2 do this but I found the best thing to do is realy make them jump by shouting at them I used ARRRGGHH DIRTY !!! and he jumped out of his skin and nearly *** himself then after that he would go near it and I would say it again it only took about 3 embarassing ARRGH DIRTIES over the very busy park b4 he stopped it
