March MM and KM Links Games
17 Answers
A new month brings new contests for both Links Games. The February Champions in Jan & Rob assume places of Honour in the competitions and I hope that they shown due (dis)respect from the serfs and villains (sic).
I have been in contact with Steff (seekeerz from OZ) and Rob (wickedtongue from STROUD) and all is set for two lively games. New to us all is wickedtongue, who's a rugby man and a regular darts player (hitting 180 when he's on form) and at this very moment is devouring a chinese (not a whole one I hope). He doesn't like losing, at which point he becomes fluent in anglosaxon english.
So if you've encountered someone in the shrubbery, cursing and swearing, brushing some off with a straight arm tackle and prodding others with his tungsten tipped arrows, then you've already met Rob. One thing's for sure, he knows how to pick link words.
He's proved that he's tuned in to Barbara's choice of links, so he must think along similar lines! Enough said
Rob should open the site at about 8.45am and release the words to be linked at 9.00am. This deals with the MM Link Game.
The sister game for KM links will have a site opened in the early hours of the morning (UK) but in the afternoon (AUS). The FIRST person to solve the four link words in the DT (Herculis) is invited to place them on Steff's site, and follow these up with their four predictions.
In the past, this task has fall to Aquagility and in the future MAY fall to him again but the field is open to others to enter the words. I'd like to thank him for his contributions in the past. He's the only man ever to have said "I used to admire crofter, but now I think he's just plain crazy" and still I call him "friend"!
Let tomorrow bring what it will!
Let battle commence!
Feel free ... scribble pad ... etc etc ... Good Luck!

Welcome Rob to the MM links where you will try to make your mark this month.
Will this be an easy conversion for you, or will the rucking and mauling in the shrubbery lead to an early drop-out?
You will have to ensure that nobody pulls a flanker and tries to gain advantage on the blindside. If this does happen, send them to the sin-bin and make sure you take no-side!<b/>

Have armed myself with an umbrella to ward off both the rain and the arrival by parachute of Sarumite. And, as a result of the learned contributions during the week from various ABers am about to erect a TWIGLOO in order to prevent water on the brain. On second thoughts perhaps the twigloo is not such a good idea. Wihhout it I can always blame my nil points on ill health!.. Good luck everyone./
Christiana, don't worry about water on the brain. One of us will be around to give you a tap on the head!
I'm giving the shrubbery a miss tonight. I had a nightmare last night - I had found a nice quiet place beside the bicycle shed, away from all the shouting and cackling that usually goes on in the less salubrious area, had my flask of goat's milk coffee and my malted milk biscuits ready, when all of a sudden I was landed on from above by an enormous marmite sandwich. I'm telling you, I've lost my nerve now. And to cap it all I hear there's going to be some strapping rugby player coming in to terrorise us all. I've booked into Hotel Babylon for a night of peace and quiet. Krophta, do you take bookings for early alarm calls?!!!! :O)

Good evening/morning all, I see the weekend's fun and frivolity has started - do you all mean we now have a rugby player to contend with in the shrubbery as WELL as the high/low flying samurai sword ???? This is getting very dangerous - do Health & Safety approve - do H&S know ??
do we care ???
welcome to the zoo, wickedtongue -I'm beginning to think you'll fit in very well - zany as a box of frogs was one person's description of herself, I think it applies all round !!
Just lay off the cricket for the time being, I"m still licking my wounds [and sharpening my fangs !!!] Good Luck to all Steff

lector There's two versions of the same game. You seem to describing the KM version which is fuelled by Herculis and the shaded squares. The first ABer to solve the four link words is invited to place them on Steff's posting and then add their own predictions!
We also run the MM version which is fuelled by the vivid imagination of wickedtongue, the newly appointed champion. Everyone is encouraged to enter both competitions.
