Only references to that phrase i can find refer to the 1960 elections, is that defianetly the correct answer?
To be perfectly honest, I did not even check the year involved! I knew the answer I offered earlier applied to him and it certainly fits beautifully with the 'untrustworthy' element of the question. I now wonder whether the '1968' date in the question is just a misprint.
