this problem has only been occuring during the last fortnight.
each morning the avg is scheduled to auto update and has done so for months, but recently the update has failed and prompted me to re-start my pc to complete the update.
You do know that there's a new version out now I take it?
I think the old one is now unsupported and updates are no longer available.
Your old version should have notified you of the update a few weeks ago.
