sellers property information packs!!!
3 Answers
I am hoping to sell my house very shortly, but am worried about the sellers property information pack. Several months ago I wrote to the council to complain about a childrens play area that was built near to my house, I was complaining about the noise from the youths who congreagated there at night. This problem has now been succesfully resolved - the reason I am selling is simply to acquire a bigger property. The SPIP asks me to disclose any such complaints to the council which I feel will jeopardise my chance of a sale. CAN I LEAVE THAT SECTION UNANSWERED - I do not intend to lie and leave myself open to litigation (though I see no reason why this should happen), If I leave this particular section blank - surely it will be a case of BUYER BEWARE. Any advice will be much appreciated!! Anna x

However - a lawyer commentating on the case stated that has the buyers refused to answer questions about the property - there would have been no come back, though obviously it might raise doubts with the buyers. Thank you for your responses, though I could do without the sarcasm from the prev respondant - it is a perfectly acceptable question, as we all know the law is an ass.
