my dog is coming upto 3 in april,last august we took her to be bred but we were just late of her cycle,we thougth she would have had another season by now but nothing is happening yet can anyone tell me if a dog can be late to come back in to season and by how long

Seasons can vary from dog to dog and from season to season. They can come back in after as little as 4 months, or as long as one year. Seven or eight months is quite normal, very few actually go every six months.

Some breeds only have yearly seasons.

If your Westie has skin problems or ears problems - please don't breed from her! There are sooooo many problems with skin conditions in this breed that perpetuating the problem should be discouraged.

Obviously if you have no problems - try and repopulate the entire Westie world!
