Anyone else think that the NIN album the downward spiral is really overated. I bought it recently as it was voted one of the best rock albums ever but I think it is utter rubbish. What do you think.

I don't think its as great as people make it out to be - I don't own it, although I do very much like 'With teeth'. I do believe that is the most depressing album I own, but even so I love it. Have listened to a few tracks from the forth coming album too and it doesn't sound half as good. Pity.
Each to their own and all that.

Yeah With Teeth is better IMO even though people say it is too commercial. I think the trouble with downward spiral is it has too many pointless instrumental outro's that go on for about 2 mins.
