Does anyone know what the "legal reasons" are for the silences on Big Brother, it drives me mad!!!

The 'live' segmets are actually delayed a few minutes to allow the programme makers to lower the sound if anything potentially litigious is being said by the free-speaking participants. It may be irritating, but it avoids Channel 4 being sued off the air!
