i'm on the pill at mo but keep forgetting to take them... what is the best overall contraception? (without weight gain!! lol) or what has worked well or not for you??? (sorry if i have posted this in wrong bit)

I've recently heard of these things you can buy called condoms. They don't cause you to gain weight unless you eat them!! Try them out sometime.

I have always liked the pill, but there are lots of other options. Why don't you go to your doc and chat through the alternatives? What I used to do was set a daily alarm to take my pill on my phone. It worked really well.

If you keep forgetting to take the pill (honestly, I can't think why!) then maybe the injection or implants would be better suited to you.

Unless you forget to make the appointment to top up your injection..in which case the implants would be better ;o)

i have the injection, you have it once every 12 weeks n the only thing u need to worry about is booking the appointment for the next 12 weeks!!!!

hiya, i was terrible at remembering my pill after having my 1st baby (brain totally gone, killed me only brain cell pushing him out)!! so I told my doctor who recommended the injection. 1 injection every 3months - brilliant, no weight gain, no periods nothing. Would highly recommend.

Hi, I had the contraceptive impant put in my arm back in December 2004, it lasts 3 years and is due out this december
You cant really see it,you can feel it if you look for it but for me I have had nothing but good side effects ( no PMT, no periods and no weight gain)
Would receommend you speak to your doctor about it, some doctors seem quite happy dishing out the pilltime and time again.
For me, i am not looking at starting a family for some time, so you can just forget about it
Should you then want to try for a baby you can have it removd at any time
