Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

i remember reading this ages ago in a puzzle book and know the answer.......but can any of you get it?

spare a thought for fred and freda lieing dead upon the floor broken glass midst scattered pebblesand a cloth half through the door.

who were fred and freda and what happened to them?

I suppose that Fred and Freda were goldfish and their goldfish bowl got broken, thus the glass. The stones could have been thrown through the letterbox so breaking the bowl but I don't know where the cloth fits in.

They were goldfish! Can remember what the cloth was for though

Or was the cloth what the bowl was resting on and the cat pulled it off the table and legged it out of the door

fred and freda are indeed goldfish,.a cat jumped up and grabbed the cloth on which their bowl was resting ,pulling the whole lot off the table with a crash and smash,the cat then runs out of the door with the cloth attached to 1 of his claws/paws.
