Is it legal for the NHS to charge employees 10 per month for a car parking space on their land even though they cannot guarantee that there will be one available?

dont see why not. I would guess they are trying to make coming in by public transport more appealing, which is a government priority. Also they are trying to not be in deficit ... another government priority. The hospital i worked at 10 years ago had this (except it was more i think) and every subsequesnt place ive worked in has had it, with the exception of if you do shift work or community work, And loads of places do it so if it was illegal i think there would have ben a challenge already
Wish I was only charged 10 per month for parking! I currently have to pay 21.50 per week to park my car and the nearerst I can get to my place of work is 1 mile away!
Yes legal. That's cheap My firm charges 25 a month (45 for senior managers) for the metal box junkies, no charge for bikers though, whoo hoo!
Slightly off the point, but my hospital charges 2 to park your car for any reason, like visiting a relative or attending a clinic. I can understand trying to deter commuters (and I might only go two or three times a year) but this looks like another stealth tax to me. Across the whole country it must run into millions of pounds. The bus is more expensive and takes ages.
