cigarettes are cheap in Dubai anyway, cant remeber how much, but will e-mail a pal now for u. All locals smoke Malborough[ think its very manly or they are cowboys one of the two !].
200 Benson & Hedges are US$12.50 in Dubai.
Airport, that is.
I havent forgotten you, my pal says she is going shopping tonight in Dubai town and will e-mail me the prices.

apparently B&H and Malborough cost between 55 & 65 dirhams 7 to 9] depending where you buy, local supermarket cheapest. Airports including Doha are always 5 dirhams cheaper.
Dont attempt to bring alcohol with you, its a muslim country, you can get plenty of booze once there, bars serve all, but you cant buy over the counter without a booze license[ you have to have a work permit to get one].
If you see a man praying in the street always walk behind the person never in front if you do they loose the direct connection to Mecca and have to start again, its considered very bad manners and they can get upset.
If you are doing things to budget, get a takeaway/sit down at Ravis in Karama. Par Dubai great value for about 3, they dont ask what you want they just bring what they think and there is plenty.
Hope you enjoy yourself, but it isnt cheap out there.

Thanks a lot Dee! Yeah Im on a budget so I dont wanna splash out, I will only shop for souvenirs, rest of money will go on food and few trips here and there and a few night outs (which are very expensive I hear!). For one week I think 400 will be enough for me. What do you reckon?
