Hi,

I am a law student ( of the mature variety!!) and I was asked by a friend today a question I do not know the answer to. ( everyone one assumes studying law automatically makes you the fountain of all knowledge!)

Anyway, What is the law regarding credit checking.?.can a company perform a credit check without prior consent?... and if so what are the circumstances?... if a company cannot do this without consent then what are the consequences of their actions?

Many thanks in advance!!!!
