I have finally had my wireless broadband silver package delivered from aol.
I thought it was going to be so easy to install. I should have known better. Halfway through I had to go and buy a wireless adapter as I had assumed my pc would have one. I just cannot get beyond 'stage 1'.
I really just want to know- does anyone know how much I might have to pay for someone to come out and set it up for me please. Its my birthday tomorrow and I am going out, and just about to switch off tonight, I can't stand any more, the gin bottle is calling me, but will be back tomorrow night to see what you all think. Thank you all in advance. Goodnight.
It's not too difficult to do yourself, though it can be a bit daunting. It's not an overly long job if you know what you are doing; personally speaking, I'd charge 20 for the job as it shouldn't take more than an hour. Obviously you may find better (or worse!) charges local to you.
Thank you both of you.
I have tried twice so far, but when I think everything is fine, it says something like wireless not detected. Where I think I may have made an error was not buying the wireless adapter that was suggested, but you dont get to see whats suggested until you are half way through the cd. I'm going to give it one more go on Monday when I have calmed down a bit. I am not very good when things go wrong.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.
