Can anyone tell me why the weather is completely different in Doncaster to anywhere else on any given day....? I'm not joking - whenever and wherever we travel past/thru Doncaster, the weather is always the opposite to anywhere else!

We have our own microclimate ready for global warming when we will be renamed Doncaster-upon-Sea.

We rarely get an accurate weather forecast. We are very close to Sheffield, where a lot of the forecasts are based but miles apart in the weather.

Much may be due to local geography. I live on the South Coast and my home town is effectively surrounded by a big horse shoe shape of the downs. Our weather is often quite different to weather 15 miles away or less. Particularly if the prevailing winds are from a northerly direction.
