Any ideas for hol to Sydney & Cairns

I'm off to Sydney and Cairns for 3 weeks on Tuesday - yipee! I was wondering if anyone has got any good tips on where to go - Places/Bars/Resturants? We did have a trip in Kuranda planned but apparently there has been a landslide in the mountains so that's been cancelled. Also does anyone know how long the flight is from Sydney to Cairns - 3 or 4 hours - I think there is a time difference? Thanks in Advance!

There is no time difference between NSW and Queensland in the winter. In the summer NSW is 1 hour ahead as QLD does not operate daylight saving. Daylight saving ends on 25 March, so it's going to change when you are there..

As to your flight, it depends on how many stops it makes en route. I think it's 3 hours minimum.

If you're going to Cairns don't miss out on going to the Great Barrier Reef; it's a platform out in the sea under the name of Quicksilver. We also went for a boatride in crocodile waters to see the Mangroves. There's also a dawn flight in a hot air balloon. Plenty of restaurants and bars all depends on what you're looking for.
