Where can I get the lyrics to the ORIGINAL " Oh Carolina " by the folkes brothers ? Every site i go to only lists the Shaggy version , which is a poor cover ! THANKS IN ADVANCE

Are you sure that they are different lyrics? As every site I go on only mentions that Shaggy did a cover version, they don't mention a change of lyrics. I seem to remember that there was a "radio edit" version which probably avoided some 'risque' lyrics - I vaguely remember UK DJ Steve Wright interviewing Shaggy on this point and mentioning the "album version" that they weren't allowed to broadcast....could be that Shaggy added some ad-libs or something. Maybe that's where you are getting the idea of different lyrics.
