Can I transfer files from skyplus to ipod

No, files on SkyPlus in in a special format that wont play anywehere else but in a Sky box.

They are encoded, but need the data on the sky card to un-encode them.

Not quite sure thats right as there is an option to copy recorded progs to external source.
i would be amazed if an ipod is one of those, however.

I know what vhg means but I asked a question onhere some time ago if you can record from sky to your computer as there is a usb port at the back of the box but you cannot directly as vhg says they are encrypted and need the sky card to read movies that have been recorded but obviously you can tape the movies onto a dvd and that dvd will play anywhere I have been part sucsefull in putting the movies from the taped dvd onto my hard drive but need decent software as I have only downloaded free software so I dare say you might be able to somehow convert the taped dvd of sky to be able to put on your pod.
