I heard a song on tele today which kept mentioning "for nigel" can somebody tell me what the song is please?

if you have the original which i heard was by XTC, can somebody tell me if a female artist covered it?

It was indeed XTC 'Making plans for Nigel' - can't help with the female cover version though, I only know of the original (I'm old you see)
