How can I get Windows Explorer, in XP, to always display 'List' format, by default?
It seems that it randomly decides whether to display Thumbnails or Lists.

In explorer, hover over the icons for one which says, views, click the down arrow and select the one you want.
When you have selected your 'look', click tools from the main menu, select folder options, select the view tab, select 'apply to all folders, this will keep your selected view.
