This is just a silly hypothetical question, but one that intrigues me for some reason. Imagine someone was as strong as Superman and commited a small petty crime. A Police car pulls up and a couple of bobbies try to arrest him for this, but are injured themselves because of his super-strength. It's now assault against a police officer. They then call for assistance. Loads of armoured police turn up but again he fights them off without batting an eyelid. Imagine the press were there and filmed it, and the police and British justice were publicly defeated and humiliated. What would the government do? Would they just give in and let him go free to do what he wants, backing down for the first time ever in front of the worlds press? If not, what could they do, and how far would they go?
This idiot was sentenced to 18 months 30 years ago all he had to do was say to the prison guards yes sir, no sir three bags full sir, and he would have been free within a year.
Today 30 years on he is still in jail
To answer your question thats what they do with them.
That is very interesting. However, I'm talking about a ficticious scenario about a man (or woman) with super powers, who the police cant physically arrest.
Then in that ridiculous scenario I suppose the state would indeed ignore it - much like how one state reacts to the illegal acts of another much more powerful state.
The police would have been better to ignore the petty criminal act on the basis that a prosecution would not be in the public interest.
