mosaic tiles.

hi all,
i am going to part tile my bathroom with
mosaic tiles, i have never done any tiling
before, has anyone got any tips to make the job easier & help avoid some of the pitfalls,
any advice much appreciated.

I would use mosaic tiles rather than those with the web backing and use the tile spacers to match.

would that not take years singley with spacers? tiling is not hard but i would think trying to get them all level (being little mosaics) would be quite difficult - if you have never done tiling before. My sister has got them (natural stone ones) and they look lovely but a lot of work. She had a mdf unit made up and completly tiled it with mosaics with a bowl type sink that sits on top of the unit. also they are hard to cut being so small so get yourself a tile scoring pen then break them with tile pincer/plyers.

It helps if you can fix as long a baton as possible to the wall(as a guide) and place the first row of tiles onto it. It isn't always advisable to tile directly from the skirting upwards unless you aren't fussy about how high you want to go. Also the skirting may not necessarily be a perfect line.
Don't do one little spoldge of adhesive but do as much of the line as possible.
Wherever possible work back from the corner that is going to show thus leaving(unless you are very lucky)the cut tiles in the corner that you won't notice too much.
