My hubby has just bought me a ticket to go to see the Dancing on Ice Tour at Newcastle Metro Arena.
He only bought ONE ticket and I dont want to go by myself!
He cant understand this.
Am I being mean and is there anything I can do about it ?

bloody ungrateful!! it sounds like he cant do right for wrong!!! lol
Im afraid I would be upset, not much fun going on your own.If it was not his scene why did he not buy two tickets ,so you could go with a pal.Explain how you feel and he might get another ticket.

lainiej, personally i wouldnt mind going to something like that on my own, in fact, i'd quite enjoy the "me" time but i can understand why you wouldnt want to go alone! Most people wouldnt.
Why on earth did he only think to get just the one ticket??? Cant he get another one for you?
All you can do if you really dont want to go alone and you cant get hold of another ticket is to sell it but he might be hurt by that. Still, he should know you better than to think its something you would enjoy doing on your own. :-)

To be honest I nornally wouldnt mind going to something on my own - I'm ok going to classes or such like alone - but I think that something like Dancing on Ice needs someone to appreciate it with. I'd feel like a proper Billy No Mates !
lainiej...I can understand you not wanting to go on your own...I'd sell the ticket on Ebay...and do something you want to do with the money...

just got you a ticket, thats not nice.dont think id like to sit on my own either, why didnt he get two either then he could go with you or you could have taken someone with you.
Thats really mean, its not a treat if you have to go on your own, I understand he may not have wanted to go with you but he could have got a spare so you could go with a mate.
Silly man !!!!!!!!!!! Show him our answers and he wont do it again !
Go, and then come back an hour later, surprise him.
Do you even live anywhere near Newcastle? Or does that enhance the solo experience too... such a boy thing to do!

I live in Middlesbrough which is about 30 miles south of Newcastle.. I would've taken my mum cos she likes the prog too. WOnder if I get in touch with Ticketmaster and explain, they'll let me cancel my ticket and my 2 new ones.
Obviously if I just buy another ticket, the seats wont be together.
How typical of a woman to moan about being given something. What about the thoughtt that went into it? Have you asked him why he only got one ticket?
Maybe he couldn't afford two, or maybe he couldn't get two together, or maybe he thought you'd enjoy it more without him fidgeting coz he's bored witless by sitting and watching this rubbish,.
Bah ~ women ~ never satisfied!! Were's the gratitude?
When I've treated girlfriends in the past I would never have dreamed of buying just one ticket. I would always share the experience with them, even if it was something I REALLY didn't fancy...
