Downloading clipart

My PC has started to do something funny when I try to download clipart.
When I am looking for clipart the little squares which usually have thumbnails of the available pictures appear Each one has a little page with the top right corner slightly folded over and on the page is a blue music note with WAV at the bottom. In the bottom of the square below the page are the letters dglxasset�
When I try to insert sometimes nothing happens and sometimes it comes up with the error message 0x800C0008. Can anyone help as I am completely lost.

This is a generic download error. If you are running windows XP try downloading the patch that fixes this.

Thanks for you reply and sorry to appear silly but how exactly do I get this patch? As is obvious I am not a computer expert, just a beginner. I tried putting the entire line in the address bar but it didn't take me anywhere.

First establish what operating system you have (Windows XP/Windows XP Proffessional) Then go to any search engine Google is pretty good for this. Type in the search field Windows XP service packs. I have just done thisand chose to download from a site called softwarepatch .com (abbout 5th one down the list). I clicked on this link and it took me to there website. After expanding the screen there is what is called a radio button (in blue and bold text) that says [Click here to download]. After clicking it will take you to another screen and half way down that screen it states that it is connecting to the microsoft server. Follow the instructions from here as it is pretty straight forward you shouldnt have any probs. Let me know how you get on.

Sorry it took me so long to get back but I have been away. I tried your suggestion but nothing changed. Apparently I am getting them as music files. I can now manage to download clipart with no trouble, just can't get the saved ones. Thanks for all your help.
