Yes, its an odd request!
I'm a first time mum and my little one is about to turn 6 months(also teething)...he is eating well, about 3 (food)meals a day , the question I have is that I've noticed his poo has started to get firmer and has gone a dark colour(sometimes also the colour of his baby food the day before-i.e orange...) Thats right, I'm going to ask 'Is this NORMAL!??????' I'm probably worrying for no reason and all babies are different, I know, I can't ask my health visitor as she never gives me a straight answer!!Or the above answers! Any advice much appreciated from any Mums(or Dads)!! Thanks in advance :O)

It is normal. Baby poo can change colours.Maybe the baby food you are using has lots of additives another make might be better or give baby homemade meals .Enjoy your baby,

its normal. Their poo will vary a lot depending on what they are eating. After a stomach bug my sons turned almost white because he was just drinking milk (he was about 14 months old)
You will also get lumps of food in there as they eat more solids, whole peas and lumps of carrot but again, thats normal until they get to about 4 i think
Their poo does also change colour due to teething. Why? No idea but it does!
My daughter is the same age, and yesterday her nappy looked just like the spinach she had for dinner!
Word of advice, if your baby struggles to go (Emmy did and it was horrific) cook some dried prunes and add them with dessert, work a charm and we now give them to Emmy every other day
All of the above my girls are older now and tomato soup still produces a lovely orange colour the next day. Sweetcorn always goes straight through. Only worry if diarrohea that persists or you see blood. If it vaguely looks like what went in the top be assured the digestion is working.XXXXXX
we've been feeding our little 'un pureed carrots and when her poo had fibre strands in it, I could've swore she'd been chewing tobacco!!
