No, they have to be paid out of your estate - the assets that you have such as savings, cars, personal possessions, your home.

ethel is wrong ,on certain debts,they do die with you.
ie your bar tab
Would NORMANTHEDOG like to elaborate further on the types of debt which do not legally require payment after death i.e. would be classed as an invalid claim against an estate with sufficient funds to repay?
