European holiday suggestions needed
I want to go on holiday with my boyfriend. Somewhere with cultural trips in the day and then nice restaurants and bars for evening. Quiet and relaxing but not dull! Done a lot of long haul holidays and want to do more of europe. Any suggestions?

All have a lot to do during the day - museums, churches, art galleries, palaces, shopping etc.. plus excellent restaurants and nightlife.
Bruges and Ghent are perfect for a long weekend, easy to walk round and also accessiable via Eurostar (changing at Brussels). Plus excellent Belgian beer!
If you go to Tallinn or Gdansk in summer you can use them as a base to explore the Estonial and Polish coats plus they have a lot of ourdoor activities.
Krakow has so much to offer architecturally and culturally plus you can use it as a base to visit the nearby salt mines and Auschwitz
Istanbul is like nowhere else! A mix of East and West with an amazing history.

I have just come back from Prague. Personally for me, there is nowhere on earth like it. Everyone in their lifetime should put it on a list of top ten things to do b4 they die. It was FANTASTIC. Our country has a lot to learn from any of the pre occupied territories. How a country has overcome such adversity to become one of the most beautiful places on earth is beyond me. There is something for everyone. The place is a gastronomic heaven, with the added bonus of the best and cheapest beer I've ever tasted. The people, whilst more reserved than us, are warm with a magnificant sense of humour. As for exploring other parts of Europe you're spoilt. There's Germany. Austria, Poland and Slovakia on the doorstep. With the clean and very efficient Rail Service in Prague all are within reach. To be honest there is enough to do and see in the Czech Republic to keep you more than occupied. Google Prague.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like you need a Med cruise - get the culture during the day in different ports of call and then relax and eat at night and wake up in a new place the next day.
