Do you people think it is wrong to be an animal lover but not be vegeterian?
At one point during my college course, they made us feel like unworthy people because we were studying to look after animals, yet we we werent veggies?
We did lambing at college & helped them to be born, also docked tails and other bits, and it was lovely seeing them born, but i still like roast lamb?

I think the way they are raised and slaughtered is the key - in Asia where they eat dogs the conditions are terrible and it makes me cringe to even think about it. I think unless you go the whole hog and won't kill anything living (including flies, ants etc.) it has to be down to the individual. I know plenty of vegetarians who don't think twice about squashing insects.
I wouldnt hurt any living creature with my bare hands, not even a spider - but.......I eat meat - although lamb has not been allowed in the house for around 10 years which my husband thinks is ludicrous as he cant see the difference between lamb and pigs - but he will not eat eggs unless he knows they are free range, and not just by it saying it on the box, he likes to see the chickens in the field !
