Gift ideas

My father will be 60 and I need ideas for a special gift please! I want something maybe permanent or memorable. I have thought about buying a share of some woodland but can't find anything like that. Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Having a star named after him or buying a plot of the lunar surafce is quite unusual and inexpensive - not sure of the legal validity of either purchase but it's the though that counts and the memory will be with him whenever he looks up at night

If you're looking for 'memorable' why not book him a flight in a hot air balloon? I had one for my 40th, and it was fantastic, it's a unique experience and entirely appropriate for a man of that age, it's one of the few experiences you can be pretty sure he hasn't enjoyed yet, unless he's been a paratrooper, in which case you may need to think again.
