Why after appearing on Breakfast Telly together years ago do Timmy Mallet and Tommy Boyd not get on. I am told that Tommy Absolutely detests Timmy.

I'd agree with John. EVERYBODY hates Timmy Mallet. One of the great diappointments in my life was seeing him pass me at an airshow in the '80's and not being able to give him a kick or something because he was in an armoured car.

I agree that Timmy is very hateable but wot went on with him and Tommy Boyd. Its almost unheard of for someone in the public eye to badmouth someone else in the media. I can only think of one other and that the situation with Richard Madeley and Shakin Stevens.

Richard Madely was interviewing Shakey on 'live' TV, together with Status Quo. Something was said quite innocently about a fight, and Shakey attacked RM quite violently, and bowled him over the back of the sofa. As RM announced Shakey's new single, Shakey did it again.

I think Shakey was just horsing around. RM was not impressed, but stayed cool and pretended he was amused (he is just being Whitely and Vorderman as the person with NO sense of humour what ever)

Quo of course fell abot laughing - well, you would wouldn't you.

This quite a famous clip and gets aired when ever anyone wants to poke fun at Richard Madeley - that'll just be the days with a 'y' in them then!

Thanks to everyone for their input. Especially Andy for his commentary on the Madeley / Stevens bout. But as far as the Timmy v Tommy thing goes, we'll just have to assume Mr Boyd hates the Mallet Man for the same reasons as the rest of us. If anyone finds out anything more than that, you know where we are. Cheers all.

Hi curlyperm -

that was a slip of the keyboard - I meant to say Madely was just BEHIND Whiteley and Vorderman in having no sense of humour. When they were doing their 'amusing' exchanges on Countdown, he used to snigger and she would - and probably still does - make a noise like a wounded moose, which signified that the other may have said something funny, but with no sense of humour between them, neither of them knew, so they laughed in case they should.

Trust that clears up the confusion.

Ah yes, i can see know, when i watch the Carol Vorderman show.......Sorry i mean Countdown! She does have far more to say than is necessary, just pick the bloody letters girl, thats all your getting paid for!!! and shut the F up, she laughs (?) at anything thats remotely funny, and its not even a nice laugh.
However thank you for clearing that up Andy.
