An autonym is a word which describes itself, so orange would fall into this category.

Woof is Onomatopeia. An autonym is a word that people or groups of people use to refer to themselves like a name. Not actually sure there is an answer, can't think of any other things that are like orange. It was only called an orange because when they came to the uk in the 14th century their was nothing else with the same colour pigment so i guess it seemed fitting and simple.
