Sounds like a Power Supply Unit to me. Usually if a PC has intermittent power on problems a new PSU usually fixes it and would be the first thing I would change if it was my PC

same here!!!
i have had the same prob for about 2 or 3 weeks. my psu is only about 9months old and although new ones can mess up i'm not so sure.
it does sound logical what the other 2 abers say but i wouldn't rule out the posability of a corrupt operating system.
think i might try a xp repair or reformat soon or put back my old 350 watt psu and see what gives.
post back if you have any luck and i will do same.
