On some movie web sites i visit they have HD trailers. what do i need to do to my pc to be able to watch these? i have a HD monitor, what else do i need? cheers
There's really no such as thing as a 'hi def' graphics card...
What you need to look at is monitor resolution.
Full-blown 1080p is 1920x1080 pixels. Right-click your desktop, and click properties to see what your resolution is set to. If it's below that, you won't be able to see the HD trailers full-screen.
A better graphics card generally will allow higher resolution, and you'll also need to make sure the monitor is capable of displaying that resolution.
my monitor is a 32" hd lcd tv so it will show them. its just when i click on the trailers it asks me to save them and i dont recognise the format they are.
got it, but it still wont play. when i download the file and try to play it asks to use the web to find a program but then say it does not recognise the format. if you go to www.yahoo.com/movies and try and watch 1 of the hd trailers. maybe i'm doing something wrong.
