Hand Cream
This time of year my hands get very dry and are prone to splitting on the tops of my thumbs. Apart from being uncomfortable, the skin catches on my tights and clothes. Does anyone have any suggestions for a really good handcream that will cure this? I am using Palmer's Cocoa Butter at the moment.

I have always had excema on my hands, which not only makes them cracked but sensitive to everything too!
The best over the counter remedy I have found is 'NEUTROGEN NORWEGIAN FORMULA - CONCENTRATED-UNSCENTED'.
It is unlikely to irritate your skin, inexpensive at about 3.50 a tube, and really long-lasting on the skin.
Please do try it or maybe write to the company for a sample. It's very very good.
Even my tree surgeon boyfriend is now using it! :O)

I have recently discovered a cream called YU-BE.
They have a website at http://www.yu-be.com
You can buy it online at www.skinstore.co.uk or in Space NK shops or their website.
It is 12 for a tube, but lasts for ever. You only need the tiniest amount. I use it on rough cuticles and my sister finds it wonderful for cracked and split skin on her hands as a result of excema. It really has worked for her and believe me she has tried absolutely everything!
I originally got some from Space NK and they kindly gave me some tiny tubes as free samples. I gave them out to friends - and got such a response from them that the next week I was back in Space NK buying six more tubes!

I have got a brilliant suggestion 'Nailtiques cuticle and hand conditioner'.
I absolutely swear by it. It comes from the States but you can get it on the Nailtiques website or just Google it. Expect to pay 14 quid ish for a 4oz tube. Use sparingly and everyday. I go to a nail bar for a manicure and suggested the stuff to my nail technician - she grows her own veg and has wrecked her hands - and now even she's hooked! Try it, you won't be disappointed.
