AVG upgrade

AVG asked their free version users to upgrade by a specified date. I did this but unfortunately during the upgrade I clicked on the paid for version which had a period of free time. This ran out and they are asking everytime I start up for my regisration number which I do'nt have. There is no need to buy because the free version still works, but I have this annoying banner. Is there a way of removing it please from my start-up to remove my foolish error and return to normal.

In control panel->add/remove programs, you should be able to uninstall all your AVG stuff. Uninstall it all, then restart, then install the free version again.

Before doing that you'll probably want to download the free version's setup program first though:
