i always thought it was due to dehydration? I get it too!!
Yep - dehydration and low blood sugar. When you get up at 5.50 am you probably drink a couple of pints of tea or coffee and have something to eat before 11.30.

If you want a headache free lie in day, get up early, have a drink and snack and go back to bed.
I suffer with that too!
I thought it was just me!
Thanks for the advice Ethel, the trouble is once i get up i stay up, I can't go back to bed.
Maybe i'll have to put some snacks and a drink by the bed when I go to bed!!
Try getting up at 5.50 then.
Problem solved.
Get a dog! Mine gets me up every day at 6 am. She doesn't know the difference between workdays and days off.
It's better to get up, get out while it`s quiet and then have a long, relaxed breakfast with the morning papers. No radio or TV, just peace and quiet. Sets you up for the day!
I think if you lie in too long it makes you even more sluggish.
