save the date cards

we're getting married in cyprus next year, and I we're going to send save the date cards out to ensure everyone can afford to come. Not sure what to write inside though? Also where can we get nice ones from with maybe a photo of us on the front? Do they have to be similar to the invitations? (sorry about spelling.)
