Which nation is said to have invented translation?

I have a literature essay and I can't seem to find the answer to this. Help will be appreciated

How can one invent translation? And why a nation and not a tribe? In my opinion the question would be: Which is the first attested written piece of translation? Because translation has a long oral unattestable tradition.

Some of the first translator were the Buddhist monks who translated the Indian sutras into the Chinese language.

Another example is the translation of the Old Testament into Greek in the third century B.C., which is known as the Septuagint, alluding to the seventy translators that were commissioned to translate the Bible on the island of Paphos. The Septuagint became the source text for later translations into many other languages including Latin, Coptic, Armenian, and Georgian.
