Why do my shoe laces always come undone no matter how tight I try to tie them.

Or, perhaps they are waxed ... these are difficult to keep tied but are very dressy...
perhaps your trousers rub on them and work them apart ... this always happens to me if i have jeans on.
I use a double bow
Well just cut out the middle man and dont tie them
I often have the same problem wi new laces so I use an emery board to roughen them just where they will cross so the laces grip more.
The very first thing I'd recommend is - if your laces are round (as most provided with new shoes seem to be nowadays) - get a flat pair. They'll stay tied far more readily.
Have you tried a double knot?
