When it's hot, why do people............

.....wear a coat AND a scarf AND a jumper?!

I've seen people doing that both outdoors and whilst driving a car. I'm not being critical, i just can't understand it.

Well... to be fair it hasnt been THAT hot..... well not in London... yes it's been nice but i saw loadsa people wearing coats yesterday - i was probably one of the few in a t-shirt.

As for in the car...maybe they just feel "cosy".

The last few days when it's been really nice I've been wrapped up because I'm just getting over the flu and don't want to risk anything.

Also some people are just always cold. I'm what you'd call a warm person and my boyfriend is always cold, so there's a never ending argument over the heating in our house

I think it's because they really can't believe that it's warm and are expecting it to snow any minute.

I must admit that I don't feel the cold as much as a lot of people do. I was wearing shorts and t-shirt yesterday! :o)

Aww bless. Well i think us English are known to get slightly over excited by the sight of the sun...

Baby Oil, Shorts, Vests, Skirts when it's only about 17C... oh well suppose we have to make the most of it!

Not everybody feels the cold / warmth to the same degree.
I had an undiagnosed thyroid problem and was absolutely perished, even in the summer. However, after being put on the medication I am now constantly too warm.

You can't tell just by appearances what's going on can you ?

As I said peppy, I wasn't criticising - I'm just sometimes intrigued as to why people do things.

Because people feel temperatures differently...

I don't feel really comfortable until we hit the 30�C, at which time my husband is already lying on the sofa, panting like a little puppy...

I cannot understand him running around in shorts in this weather, either...

I'm one of those cold people (though minus the scarf and coat) and usually feel colder, no matter what the weather, when I haven't had enough sleep.

and when its cold ive seen people with vests, short skirts, and bear midriffs and thats on a friday and saturday night in the middle of winter
